Visiting the 2nd Largest Castle
Are you in search of luxurious apartment living? Look no further than the Grand Castle Apartments! Located in the heart of a bustling city, these stunning apartments offer all the amenities you could ask for and more... yeah, not so fast. Although next to a prominent expressway, this "castle" is no palace, though it does hold a lot of promise.
My aunt, uncle, and cousins spent the thanksgiving holiday staying in an Airbnb located in this castle. Upon entering their new home for the holiday, I was greeted by a high ceiling and kitchen island. I didn't, however, spend too much time in the room itself because there were so many other places to explore inside the castle.
"Game room" is a bit too big of a word to describe the area that contained a ping pong table, a pinball machine, and two arcade games that do contain many games in their system. The area is not closed off, so therefore I feel bad for any of the surrounding rooms. However, because of its unfortunate location, the sound of many of the games is turned off.
The library is pretty neat. Just don't step on the for-show staircase that leads to a second floor of books. Although it is not roped off, there is a plack you may read on your way up the stairs that tell you they aren't weight-bearing. The large selection of books are ones you have never heard of, but I must admit I did feel like Belle in Beauty in the Beast.
Sadly it being winter and the pool being outside, my cousins and I never got to experience this feature (in fact, this would be a problem most of the Michigan year). We did, however, check out their weight room. If you watch the YouTube video, you'll see all the equipment. It's enough for the casual exerciser, but there isn't much for people who are really trying to pump some iron. I also feel bad for anyone whose room is below.
Although this place is far from perfect, I think you could have so much fun living there with the right people. If I could take my college dorm room and place it inside that castle, I would. We'd have a blast. Too bad this place is pretty pricey, so without some updates, it'll be very interesting to see if it survives.
